Hello again! The holidays are in full swing and here we are with anther installment of Bubo.
This week we will be starting the faces band. It has a few tricky spots in it. You may see a stitch that isn't familiar, but that's okay, we are getting through this together.
Bubo grows by six rounds this week
Round 75 color 1
Join with a standing dc in any corner sp, (dc, ch2, 2dc) in same sp. *Dc in next 156 sts. (2Dc, ch2, 2dc) in next corner sp* 4 times, omitting last corner sp. Join to the first st with a slst. FO.
160 dc ea side
Round 76 color 4
Join with a standing dc in any corner sp, (dc, ch2, 2dc) in same sp. *Sk first (hidden) st, dc in next 159 sts. (2Dc, ch2, 2dc) in next corner sp* 4 times, omitting last corner sp. Join to the first st with a slst. DO NOT FO.
163 dc ea side
Round 77
Ch3, counts as dc, dc in next st. *(2Dc, ch2, 2dc) in next corner sp. Dc in next 163 sts* 4 times, omitting last 2 dc. Join to the top of the ch3 with a slst. DO NOT FO.

Round 78
Ch2, counts as hdc, hdc in next 3 sts. *(2Hdc, ch2, 2hdc) in next corner sp. Sk first (hidden) st. Hdc in next 166 sts* 4 times, omitting last 4 sts. Join to the top of the ch2 with a slst. FO.

Round 79 color 1
Join with a standing sc in any corner sp, (ch2, sc) in same sp. *Sk first (hidden) st, sc in next 13 sts.
(Sc, dtr)tog with the first leg in the next st and the second leg in the 12th st of R76 after the ch2 (work this st before the st of R77, but in the same st).
**Hint**
Each stitch has a post, and then lps as a part of the stitch. The lps are made up of two strands on top and a single strand on bottom. When working in a stitch you work under the two lps but above the single strand. The trtr leg of this stitch is worked around the single strand.
(Sc, trtr)tog with the first leg in the next st and the second leg worked around the single strand of yarn below the lps of the 12th st of R76.
(Sc, dtr)tog with the first leg in the next st, and the second leg in the 12th st of R76 (work this st after the st of R77, but in the same st).
[Sc in next 17 sts. Sk 19 sts of R76 (be sure you do not count the st of R76 as one of the sk sts)
(Sc, dtr)tog, with the first leg in the next st, and the second leg in the 20th st of R76 (work this st before the st of R77, but in the same st).
(Sc, trtr)tog, with the first leg in the next st, and the second leg around the single strand below the lps of the of the 20th st of R76.

**Special Stitches**
Long stitches- work st in designated st enclosing all rounds in between in the st.
Join with a standing sc in any corner sp, (ch2, sc) in same sp. *Sc in next 2 sts. [Sk 3 sts, 7trc in next st, sk 3 sts. Long sc into R78 next 3 sts] 16 times. Sk 3 sts, 7trc in next st, sk 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts. (Sc, ch2, sc) in next corner sp* 4 times, omitting last corner sp. Join to the first st with a slst. FO.

Next week we will continue the faces. You will be using a modified Catherine's Wheel to build the eyes.
