Hi, I'm Nickie, the designer. Welcome to my weird little world. This site is to showcase my designs, and give you a little insight into my fiber adventure.
In 2014 I taught myself crochet. In 2016 I made myself try a mandala blanket pattern because it scared and intimidated me and a love was born. In 2017 I decided I was going to design my own and my passion was born.
In 2018 I bought my first spinning wheel and quickly jumped into creating my own yarns for small projects featuring my home grown angora fiber. This new skill opened up another world for me, and led me to become passionate about using natural, sustainable fibers. All designs created after March 2019 were created using cotton, wool, silk, or flax.
Some time in 2021 I started using a mill to process my angora fiber into yarn and roving. Using wool mills to create my own custom wool blends for these yarns and rovings brought another skill to my fiber table; dying my own fiber to create just the right visuals for my smaller designs. There has been no greater joy in my fiber adventure than to build the yarn for the project I have built for the yarn.
A goal for the future of WiggleStick Designs is to design at least one "beast" with my home grown fiber. Those giant pieces take a lot of yarn and a lot of time. I'm hoping to bring that dream to life very, very soon.
In 2017 I learned so much. About myself, about crochet, about my world, about how I can see my world made in yarn.
I also learned it takes a whole team of people working my patterns making sure they’re easy to read and understand for all levels of experience. Those people are my heroes. They help me be a better designer and writer. They help me become better at what I love. They also have many times helped me practice patience I didn’t know I had. I thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart.

The bunny adventure at WiggleStick Designs
When you find a passion it is only normal to expand on that passion. I love yarn so much I just had to start growing and making my own. My shop now features hand spun and mill spun luxury yarns, many featuring my home grown angora fiber. There are many colors, weights, and lengths available to choose from.
Spinning fiber, rovings, batts, and rolags are also available for those looking sample the bunny side of the spinning world.

Abe, the newest wheel by SpinPerfect, a division of SpinOlution, is a wood and 3D printed hybrid wheel available in multiple flyer sizes with the 3D portions available in new fun colors. This wheel is unfinished standard allowing for you to customize your Abe with paint or stain to create your perfect eye catching conversation piece. This is another full studio in a single wheel to add to the list of studio wheels already available.
